Check-ups: half and half
As I mentioned yesterday, I had two check-ups today. I am so stupid that I scheduled my dental appointment at 8:30 AM, my gums are now starting to sore. I guess I have to face my monthly dental appointments with courage! Tightening my braces are so pain in the ass!
Then I went to see my eye doctor for my regular eye exam. Guess what???? My presciption has been changed. I used to wear -1.25 and now both my eyes are -1.50 with my contacts and -1.75 with my eyeglasses.. Hollly Molly!!! I have to save money for LASIK eye surgery by the time I am 40! According to the doctor, the change is not that bad because I've been wearing a -1.25 in more than five years. On the other hand, it's nice to know that everything about my eyes looks normal, no glaucoma, or whatsoever. He mentioned though that my eyelids look irritated and asks me how often I change my contacts. I lied! I told him 3 weeks, but I change my contacts every month. Oh well, I got away with it though! :P I do keep my contacts clean and I definitely don't wear them when I go to sleep, that's being unhygienic! I'm just saving money coz those contacts are really expensive!
Then I spent half of my afternoon walking around the mall looking for something to buy. I bought myself a nice dress which I will be wearing on Sunday. I will be singing on Sunday, too. It's my way of saying "THANK YOU" to God for another year. Also bought a new pair of denim jeans and a couple of shirts.
It's so freaking hot today like yesterday! I guess the temp is around 90 to 95. The good thing is that it's humid not dry...I am sweating like crazy everytime I get in the car and I have to put my AC on full blast!
I have to cook dinner now, wanna give me a hand? I'll be cooking "sinigang na manok".

Well it's a new year and this is the year when I hope to be completing my studies in opthalmology, which includes a thesis on upcoming laser eye surgery technology and improved eye health. I'm also planning to take a course on the excima laser, which should be fun.
